Every component in the Voltplay board is engineered for the serious player — from the XY actuator grid to the ceramic-coated neodymium magnets beneath each square.
How it works
The Voltplay board bridges the digital and physical through a tight hardware-software loop that most players never even think about.
A move is played on Chess.com, Lichess, or against our AI. The move is transmitted to the board via Wi-Fi in under 20ms.
The onboard processor plans the safest XY actuator path to move the piece without disturbing adjacent squares.
The hidden actuator slides the piece to the destination square with a satisfying magnetic click. Captured pieces move to the side pocket automatically.
The destination square illuminates. If coaching mode is on, the board highlights the engine's preferred reply and any tactical alerts.
